43rd Airlift Group 43d Airlift Group, Pope Army Airfield, N.C.: The 43d Airlift Group is an active-duty Air Mobility Command unit comprised of 1,300 Airmen. As an element of the Global Response Force, the 43d Airlift Group provides precise outload, en route support, and mobility operations, enabling the 82nd Airborne Division's unique Joint forcible entry capability through airborne and air assault operations within hours of notification. Missions can range from humanitarian assistance to providing combat capability to an area of operations.
