QUESTION: How do I request (463L) Pallet’s for Air
movement?
ANSWER: To request 463L pallets, units will
need to complete a pallet request and obtain a signature from the
Unit Movements office. Units will then bring the memorandum to the
A/DACG and coordinate for the issue of the required number of 463L
pallets and nets.
QUESTION: What are my Passenger Baggage Procedures?
ANSWER: PAX with baggage arrive at A/DACG scales (Bldg W-1967) to be
weighed five hours prior to aircraft departure time. Baggage is
placed on pre-weighed K-loaders to be weighed and then loaded in the
belly of the aircraft and PAX are weighed in a group on the scales.
Normally only two bags are authorized, unless otherwise stated in
deployment orders. This can normally be either two duffel bags or a
rucksack and a duffle bag. Coordinate with Unit movements for any
deviation from this requirement.
QUESTION: What are the baggage procedures for commercial
aircraft flying out of Pope AFB?
ANSWER: Air Mobility Command policy states that the only authorized carry
on baggage is one weapon (M-16 or smaller), and one small carry on
bag that is no larger than 45 linear inches (L + W + H), (22 + 9 +
14); all hand-carried items must fit under the aircraft seat
or in overhead compartment, if items do not fit they will be loaded
into the aircraft baggage compartment.
QUESTION: What are my baggage/passenger Weight
Allowances?
ANSWER: Normally 400 lbs per passenger and baggage is authorized; however
when units have (To Accompany Troops) TAT items, Unit Moves must be

can allot the proper air aircraft Allowable Cabin Load ACL in the
Form 59 (Air Mission Itinerary).
QUESTION: Ground Liaison Office Briefing (GLO Briefing).
ANSWER: When AMO/UMO officers received notification of air mission
itinerary (Form 59), they must report to GLO (Bldg 900) on Pope Air
Force Base NLT 7 days prior to aircraft departure to complete the
GLO Sheet (Airlift Coordination Brief). This briefing is conducted
every Wednesday at 1300 hours at Bldg 900 on Pope, AFB with all the
principal agencies in attendance. If you do not have a mission
number prior to the Wednesday brief, you will be required to hand
carry the GLO packet around to each agency (GLO, Checkpoint, ATOC
and A/DACG to coordinate show times. For Short/No Notice deployments
the GLO Sheet will be completed prior to Cargo and Passengers
arriving at the A/DACG, this will ensure all required timelines and
processing procedures are clearly understood.
QUESTION: What are the Air Force Manual 24-204/TM 38-250
fuel procedures?
ANSWER: All real world Tactical, Contingency or Emergency airlift (OEF
and OIF) missions will be Chapter 3 approved. All training and most
exercise missions will not be Chapter 3 approved. When Chapter 3 is
