The 2014 fall hunting season is right around the corner!
Here are some dates of interest...
Scouting begins on Saturday, 9 August. During the month of August,
scouting hours are 08:00-16:00. Once hunting begins in September scouters
may stay out until 90 minutes after sunset.
Dove and early Canada goose seasons begin on Monday, 1 September. Dove season will not
re-open until Saturday, 6 September while goose season will re-open on Thursday, 4

Archery: 13 September through 3 October 2014
Blackpowder: 4 - 17 October 2014
Rifle: 18 October 2014 through 1 January 2015
The Fort Bragg Hunter Orientation briefings are held Friday at 12:00 hours and the second and fourth Sundays of the month at 14:00 at the Hunting and Fishing Center between 1 August and the conclusion of spring turkey season. The briefings will not be given from mid-May through the end of July. All persons MUST attend this orientation as well as show proof of completing a hunter safety course, from any state, before he or she may purchase a Fort Bragg Hunting Permit for the first time. Additionally, any hunter who has had a 3 year (or longer) lapse in his or her permit will be required to re-take the briefing before that permit may be renewed.
