OUR OBJECTIVE

The Fort Bragg Installation Physical Security Office (PSO) provides risk assessments, program compliance inspections, access control, intrusion detection design, installation, maintenance, and monitoring. The PSO assists Soldiers, Family Members, and DOD civilians in the protection, physical security and loss prevention of personnel, assets, resources, weapons and equipment while maintaining liaison with Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies in support of contingency operations and Force Protection plans.

 

PHYSICAL SECURITY DIVISION COMPOSITION

The PSO of the Directorate of Emergency Services (DES) is composed of three Branches: Compliancy, Plans, and Physical Security Equipment (PSE).

Compliancy Branch is responsible for ensuring all sensitive conventional arms, ammunition, and explosives (AA&E), including nonnuclear missiles and rockets in the custody of the Army (DA) component are adequately secured and inventoried. The Compliancy Branch is responsible for ammunition licenses, inspections, preoccupancy/post-occupancy statements, inspections, restricted access, risk assessments, and surveys.

Physical Security Equipment (PSE) Branch is responsible for maintaining the Intrusion Detection (ID), Access Control, and Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems.

Plans Branch is responsible for ensuring security criteria is included in initial research and development, to include all phases of new or modification of construction programs.
