Services to the Armed Forces
The American Red Cross and the Fort Bragg American Red Cross’ main mission is to serve the needs of the service members and their families who serve on Fort Bragg.
The SAF mission is to provide care and comfort to the members of the United States Armed Forces and their families. It is the impetus for the establishment of the American Red Cross (ARC). SAF at the Red Cross is a mixture of both tradition and innovation. ARC continues to provide traditional support to military families; serve in military and veterans hospitals, and conduct emergency communication. But, we continually adapt our traditional services and create new programs to meet the needs to today’s military member, veterans and their families.
The American Red Cross serves 1.4 million active duty military members, 800,000 National Guard and Reservist 24 million veterans and 3million family members. To deliver services to this large population, the Red Cross brings to bear nearly 700 Red Cross chapter in communities across the country; thousands of volunteers on military installation around the world; emergency calls centers that operate 24/7; and we operate offices as near the battlefields in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kuwait.
There are many services that we provide. Please click on the topic below if you'd like to see more information.
