Alternative Transportation/Air Quality...

Alternative transportation is a broad based description of alternatives to the single person traveling in a vehicle.

Alternatives include:

- Ride Sharing

- Mass Transportation

- Public Transportation

- Bicycling

- High occupancy vehicles

- Van Pool

- Shuttles

- Work from home

- Passenger Trains

The common thread for each of these alternatives is the reduction of a community’s vehicle miles traveled. And, most importantly, reduction in emissions attributed to transportation.
