Colonel (P) Brian E. Winski
Col. (P) Winski was commissioned through Reserve Officer Training Corps and entered active duty as an Infantry Officer in 1989. He is a graduate of the Infantry and Field Artillery Captains Career Courses, the Command and General Staff College, and the Army War College Fellowship program. He has a BA in History from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and a MA in History from Louisiana State University.
Col. (P) Winski’s previous assignments include service in the 101st Airborne Division (AASLT), the 3rd Infantry Division, The Joint Readiness Training Center, the Naval War College, the 1st Cavalry Division, and the Army Legislative Liaison office. His deployed service includes service as a Rifle Platoon Leader in Operation Desert Shield and Storm, Brigade Assistant S3 in OPERATION VIGILANT WARRIOR, Battalion Executive Officer during the invasion of Iraq, G-3 Chief of Operations in Iraq, Recon Squadron Commander in Iraq, Division G3/RC-E J3 in Afghanistan, and BCT Commander in Iraq. His Joint and interagency experiences include service as the CJ-3 for RC-E, G-3 CHOPS in MND-North Iraq, and as a Military Professor in the Leadership Department at the Naval War College.
He is a graduate of the 82nd Airborne Division Advanced Airborne School Jumpmaster Course and his awards include the Combat Infantry Badge with Star, Senior Parachutist Wings, Air Assault Wings and the Ranger Tab.
