Fort Bragg is known as the "Home of the Airborne and Special Operations Forces." Fort Bragg is the home for the XVIII Airborne Corps and the 82nd Airborne Division. The US Army Special Operations Command and the US Army Parachute Team (the Golden Knights) also call Fort Bragg home. Our Mission is to maintain the XVIII Airborne Corps as a strategic crisis response force, manned and trained to deploy rapidly by air, sea and land anywhere in the world, prepared to fight upon arrival and win. List Helps Keep Soldiers,
Family Members Safe Did you know hat as Soldier there are certain places that you cannot go? Fort Bragg has various businesses and residences that have been placed on the off-limits. The list was updated by the Armed Forces Disciplinary Control Board in September, said George Olavarria, acting director for the Directorate of Emergency Services. The Paraglide has the Off-limits list. Paratroopers Fight through Naples, Anzio In North Africa, regiments of the 82nd Airborne Division prepared for new missions during World War II. Replacements arrived, training resumed, and 3rd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, was detached to Bizerte for special beach assault training with the 325th Glider Infantry and the Rangers.
